Keto Butter Chicken

A classic Indian dish that has 17g of fat, 25g protein, and 6g of net carbs. This keto dinner is flavorful, as well as very delicious.


  • 5 lbs of chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp of coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp of garam masala
  • 4 ounces yogurt, plain
  • 3 tsp grated ginger
  • 3 tsp garlic, minced

For the sauce

  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • ½ tbsp garam masala
  • ½ cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp coriander
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 5 ounces of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tsp of garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp of grated ginger

  1. Cut the chicken breast into 2-inch pieces and place in a bowl. Add 2 tbsp of garam masala, 1 tsp of grated ginger, and 1 tsp of minced garlic. Stir in the yogurt and let it chill for 30 minutes.
  2. For your sauce, combine onion, garlic, ginger, crushed tomatoes, and spices in a blender, and blend until you get a smooth consistency. Set it aside.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large skillet on medium high heat, and then place the chicken in the skillet. Cook it for about 3 to 4 minutes per side until it becomes brown. Once the chicken is browned, add the sauce and cook for an additional 5 to 6 minutes.
  4. Add the ghee and heavy cream and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Serve and enjoy! You can sprinkle with cilantro and serve with cauliflower rice.
